Changes in banking hours are temporary but will remain in place until further notice.

2. Recommendations Regarding Use of Electronic Banking

All bank customers that have access to debit or credit cards, online banking, mobile banking, and other such services are encouraged to utilize these alternative transaction methods. Although the banking system has sufficient cash on hand and on island to meet the needs of bank customers, limiting the use of currency is highly encouraged so as to minimize the potential transmission of the COVID-19 Virus in the exchange of cash and coin during transactions. Concerns regarding physical proximity to other persons also warrant the increased use of these alternative transaction methods. The FIC would like the public to know that these measures are precautionary, however, preparedness and safe practices can and should be applied at this time.

Customers are encouraged to contact their banks to inquire about electronic banking services. We also ask that if you are not signed up to electronic payroll services and/or electronic bill payment and deposit service from those institutions that have these services, please do so as to minimize your need to physically visit your bank to conduct transactions.
Please reach out to your employers and your bank to get assistance and information on how
to go about setting up electronic accounts and to sign up for electronic banking services.
